You know the drill, Treebearman did it again. Halion, the last boss of the Ruby Sanctum, has been defeated in relatively short learning phase by our sweet power pug.
People seemed to have a hard time showing up for further progression raids after our Lich King 25 heroic kill, but we got Halion down anyhow.
Moved to New Server
It’s been done! Last week I moved to a bit faster and better Server. Nah! Not in World of Warcraft! The Hardware that this Website runs on. Not like I have thousands of visitors, but now and then some major site links to this one and things start to get slow, really slow 😀
The major issue of the server was its operating system that had end of life cycle 2 years ago and new features became more tedious to deploy.
Heroic: Lich King (25 player) killed by PuG

The Treebearman Pick up Group on EU-Ravencrest has completed another Milestone, Arthas – The Lich King has been defeated on heroic difficulty in 25 player mode.
The group’s raiding schedule, Fridays & Saturdays from 15:00-18:00, did not leave much time for practice.
3-4 weeks ago I had been complaining to a friend that we would never kill this Boss, especially with this group. I complained about the focus and the lack of killing spirit. Apparently I was proven wrong and everyone pulled themself together and improved focus many times over.

It has been a while since the last summary. Concedingly I slacked with auctions, lost mats worth a 100-200k in expired mails on Magtheridon and Ravencrest. In addition there was the Lich King progression, soccer championship, hot summer, etc. Once you get to a point where gold becomes pointless it is becoming increasingly difficult to be motivated to have auctions up, etc 😀

This summer wasn’t particulalry nice to us 😀 Soccer World Championship, hot hot summer, vacation, unstable realm Ravencrest – Ravencrest locked down each day during prime time for a couple of hours for 1.5 months, which made progressive raiding impossible.
But last night we finally had a full team and downed Halion.

Shadowmourne for Retribution Paladin
In case you did not know, as Retribution Paladin you might consider clicking off the Chaos Bane Buff to increase your dps.
„Your melee attacks have a chance to drain a Soul Fragment granting you 30 Strength. When you have acquired 10 Soul Fragments you will unleash Chaos Bane, dealing 1900 to 2100 Shadow damage split between all enemies within 15 yards and granting you 270 Strength for 10 sec.“
Daisan Progression update: Putricide 25 heroic!
The last 2 resets we tried to get Professor down in our PuG. We had a very good try the first week with only 400k hp left on Professor Putricide the endbboss of the Plaguewing in Icecrown Citadel. But since our PuG is on limited time we kind of had to stop. Our hopes were high for the reset after but we had many new players and some others were unable to attend.

Daisan Progression update: Sindragosa 25 heroic
Today we killed Sindragosa on heroic in Treebearman’s PuG! It went actually much better than expected. It is jsut a matter of time till we progress even further!

It has been a while since the last report and as you can easily see, I slacked. There is no real use for anymore gold and it doesn’t make much sense to use so much time on the auction house.
I have cut down massively posting glyphs and enchanting mats, sparing me 3000 auctions per 48 hours. On the other hand it means that even doing only minimal AH Business it is merely impossible to not gain masses of gold these days. Often I am even to lazy to relog alts to send materials and rather buy them expensive on the auction house.

Borked: The Frostwing Halls (heroic)
After what felt like and endless amount of tries and many many 3-8% wipes, we finally got Sindragosa on heroic mode with the last possible try (2/35).
You can’t possibly feel the weight that fell off our shoulders and the tension that built up during the last 2 minutes of this fight.
As you can easily see here the fight was a pretty close call at the end, about to hit the enrage timer and a tank death during the fight. Fortunately we made it anyhow!
