If you followed the Wildstar Gamescom 2011 coverage you will remember the coming to life of Metal Maw. Carbine hosted a life-drawing event with Senior Concept Artist Andy Cotnam in cooperation with the audience. Metal Maw’s first steps to become a badass Boss had been taken. While the actual event was quite funny, the result looked somewhat unimaginative. This made me wonder how Carbine Studios was able to actually turn this into a fearsome monster.
Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim 25 Minutes Gameplay
Well, I’ll be goign to play this game once it comes out and have been following it the past year already. It was mostly that fascinating Skyrim Music that gave me shivers each time I watched the official Trailer.
Even aside the great atmosphere the game seems quite appealing as the latest Gameplay Video by Bethesda shows.

Enhancement Shaman solos Sapphiron
Kapténx commented on the Enhancement Soloable Bosses Post that Sapphironw as missing on the list and indeed, I hadn’t even tried him, forgot about being able to port up to him before killing any other boss now. I gave it a try today!

10 years ago, it was an afternoon at the office … not too much to do and I was browsing the mystics.de forum. We were posting about game stuff, when someone posted that a plane hit the World Trade Center. I recall being amused at first … not about the incident, but about the fact that a pilot could actuall hit such a big obstacle by mistake.
Layer System in Combat and Paths
Tenton Hammer has an interesting series of interviews with Jermy Gaffneys of Carbine Studios about their upcoming stylish MMORPG Hit Wildstar. He goes into detail about how they reward a player for playing good and gives an excellent example how the layer system works in the starting zone.
Myrddin at MMO-Game.EU Portal
Since I changed this site to a blog (in 2006) Myrddin.de has been a World of Warcraft related site. However now and then I’d like to write about other games too, but at the same time not clutter the blog with unrelated posts. For games like Fallout 3, Mass Effect, Witcher 2 I have been mainly using other forums instead. This has been bugging me for a while.
Witcher 2: NPC Behaviour, Rain
There are plenty of complaints about the NPC’s lack of reaction to happenings around them at the witcher forums. I was Idling in Flotsam (Act I) when it started to rain and suddenly noticed how the NPC’s ran to take cover from the rain. They caughed, complained and went back out in the sun when the rain was over. I instantly recalled the complaint and thought, „there you go, idiot!“. I absolutely love these details in „The Witcher 2“.
Witcher 2: Where is Cedric?
There are a couple of quests that require you to talk to Cedric, an Elf living in Lobinden, the Slums outside Flotsam. It seems that people ahve a hrd time finding him.
Myrddin vs Kael’Thas Sunstrider
Yeah, sadly I am not soloing Kael’Thas Sunstrider, the final boss of the Burning Crusade 25 man instance „The Eye“ aka Tempest Keep, yet. But with Fs, from Borked, at your side nothing can go wrong and it is almost an overkill already. For a couple of years we have been running instances for mounts, not very lucky though I have to admit 😀 As you can see we have a lot of fun though!
