This is one of my favorite Ninja pictures… Usually he is simply toddling along, sniffing here and there. It is almost as if he was a bit drowsy or missing out his morning coffee. However, in a matter of split-seconds Ninja is 100% focused and then this is his face.

The most beautiful season has already begun…
Because of moments like these, autumn is the most beautiful season to me. Meteorological autumn begins on 1st September, but officially – with the start of the Equinox 2017 – autumn starts at the 22nd September.
Smilla is back from her Vacation up North
Yesterday Smilla came back and was really happy to meet us. If I learnt something, then it is very important to wheedle a dog’s favor, especially a dog like Smilla. That is how I won her heart, unexpected treats (she loves foamed Milk!) and best cuddle in the world!

This week was tough for me… I could hardly move without pain and therefore our walks were comparably short.

One of my favorite sights is Ninja dashing around… Look at the joy in his eyes… It simply warms my heart…
Autumn is here
Sadly, it is too dangerous to enter the forest at the moment. We have strong squalls… brisk gusts of wind with 80kmh 50mph. Trees and branches can be heard cracking all day.
Hmh…. we are going to try a few things…
Yesterday we were bike-jöring along the floodplains along the river. Ninja seemed to be a bit tired today and slacked. Therefore, we took a short hike through our beautiful Lenneberg-forest.

Becoming friends… Ninja and Smilla
Smilla is with us a little over a year, now. At first, it was tough between Ninja and Smilla… I recall the first shot we took of them… Ninja rested dutiful at the assigned spot leaned away and Smilla with her “I can’t stand you, get away”-stare.
