Yesterday Smilla came back and was really happy to meet us. If I learnt something, then it is very important to wheedle a dog’s favor, especially a dog like Smilla. That is how I won her heart, unexpected treats (she loves foamed Milk!) and best cuddle in the world!
I brought some boiled chicken cut into small pieces to win her favor. It worked quite well… she hardly greeted Ninja… Ninja hardly greeted Hana, because he wanted his share of the chicken.
It is really weird with dog crazy people like us… We greeted the dogs for several minutes with lots of cuddles, pats and chicken. “Oh Smilla so nice to have you here again! I missed you so much… look how happy you are to see us… How have you been doing? Was your travel ok? I hope no one bothered you in the train!”
…and then a bit later “Hi Hana!” Pretty sure, you know what I mean.
Currently our new pack member seems to steal most of our time. I have a bit bad conscience that we have less time for Smilla and Ninja at the moment, but if we keep progressing it won’t be much longer.
We only had a medium long morning walk and will – as soon as I finish this post – tour with Ninja to the floodplains. I’ll spend some extra time with Ninja this evening… if he even wants to. Sometimes he finds my sudden attention awkward, haha.
