Good News for Druids, Consumables and Weaponprocs may come back

Vaneras has some good news for Druids. Blizzard is evaluating what kind of consumables and weapon procs could be back to the Game. While the implementation was a originally a bug, the devs like the idea of implementing this. Read here yourself.

Vaneras:

The fact that Druids in the beta test could use consumables and items while being shapeshifted was a bug. It was an unforeseen side effect of the original intent, which was to allow for Druids to interact with NPC's while being shapeshifted.
However, the developers do like the idea of consumables being used while in Druid forms, but the above mentioned bug prevented a proper implementation of this ability, which would otherwise allow shapeshifted Druids to use certain consumables such as Rage and Healing Potions, Thistle Tea and Healthstones. The developers are currently evaluating which items they want Druids to be able to use while in forms, and as soon as all issues are resolved, it will be reintroduced into the game.

Burning Crusade Beta: Karazhan Preview, Loot and Movie

On World of Raids a brave Group of Adventurers has posted some very nice Screenshots from the Burning Crusade Level 70 Instance Karazhan. They also have a nice movie and a lot of loot. From what I can see the Instance looks truly amazing be sure to check it out here.

Interesting for Rogues is the Elemental Ripper with a Max Damage of 176, 1.8 Speed 81DPS and the Shade of Aran Melee Cloak with 22 Agility, 18 Stamina, 30 Attack Power + 1% Hit.

Be sure to check out the whole thread on World of Raids.

Burning Crusade Beta: Rogue Talent Shadowstep

The 41 point talent in the Rogue subtley tree Cloak of Shadows has been replaced by Shadowstep. Cloak of Shadows, which removes all negative spelleffects on the Rogue and increases his resistance to all spells to 90% for 5 secodns, has been been moved to become a spell for all Rogues.

Cloak of Shadows

To make up for the loss, the subtley tree’s most powerful talent, „Shadowstep“ has been introduced. Basically it teleports the stealthed Rogue, right behind his target, ready for ambush.

Shadowstep

There is a nice Video available here.

You have to sacrifice either the increased crit chance, or the increased crit damage bonus if You want to use this talent. On the other hand, 2 shadowstep rogues could cause major havor in PvP.

Burning Crusade Beta: Tier IV Sets on World of Raids

Follow this link to World of Raids to see the new Tier IV sets, that can be obtained in Burning Crusade Expansion. For some classes there are different sets, like a melee Druid Set, a Druid Healer Set, a Shaman Melee-, Shaman Damage- and a Shaman Healing Set.

For Your convenience I have included the Rogue set below:

Tier IV Rogue Set, Burning Crusade

Burning Crusade: Updated Maces

In the latest Beta Patch Blizzard buffed the crafteable Bind on Pickup Weapons. They look really nice now, especially for Hammersmiths or Macerogues. Dragonstrike, Dragonmaw and Drakefist Hammer are important Weapons:
Dragonstrike, 95 DPS Main Hand Mace 334 Max Damage. Dragonmaw, 88.1 DPS Main Hand Mace, 310 DamageDrakefist Hammer, 81.1 DPS Main Hand Mace, 285 Max Damage

Burning Crusade Beta: Some more items from the TBC Beta

We did the first 2 Instances of the Hellfire Citadel. The atmosphere was pretty nice, the instances not very hard and the loot was decent.

Shifting Sash, Blood Etched Shoulders, Bloodstained Ravager Gauntlets, Auslese Light Channeler
Some Questrewards for killing Bosses in first intance:

Perfectly Balanced cape, Sure-Step Boots
Also I checked the Rogue Trainer in Stormwind, who was selling Eviscerate 9 and Deadly Poison 5 – those can currently only be trained from books that drop in instances. So its nice to know that You do not need to buy those overpriced books if You have patience to wait for release of Burning Crusade.

Burning Crusade Beta: Melee Token Turn In Rewards (Hard Mode)

The Scenery of Burning Crusade is really nice and different from the current environment. Take a loot at Zangamarsh here.

I also frapsed a Video that will give You some impressions from the Look and Feel of Burning Crusade. Its currently 16Gb of Data that I still need to cut together.

Since everybody in general chat seemed to imply that Shattrath City is THE place to go, I decided to make a little Trip. There are portals to every major City and its the perfect Heartstone location.
It is a real big place with several Levels of elevation. There was a central area, an area that made me think of the Slum part up to the higher Levels of the Aldor and the Scryer with thei futuristic looking Mechbots guarding the entrances.

I also found the Token Turn In NPC for Hard Dungeons. Here is a series of Melee rewards starting with an Offhand Dagger. More Melee rewards can be found by navigating.

To be honest I amnot really impressed with it … You seem to need 15 BoP Items to be able to turn them into an reward. I did not find any other weapons, or Tier IV set, yet.

Enchants like the one from Sapphiron (1% crit + some Attackpower) can be bought from the Quartermaster from different factions.
Even though its well designed, the navigation in the city seems rather complicated, due to the different level of elevation. Of course the Guards did not give hints to where trainers are and when I finally found the flight point I was really happy to find out that I did not know any connected flightpoint. So if You plan on riding there, stop by at some outposts first.

The other thing I noticed was thousand of new factions. I do not know if there will be an extensive grind to it, or if raising one faction will drop the other, but my decission to reroll a human Rogue might not be that bad after all 😉

Take a look at the Screenshots above or here in my Screenshot section and stay tuned for a small Video.
