Archaeology: Fossilized Raptor, Fossilized Hatchling

Look what I found on Beta. Some guy was in Stormwind with a Fossilized Raptor and a Fossilized Hatchling as companion and I was able to make sone Screenshots before he dissapeared.

After seeing the DK flying mount which looks more like a gnawed off „Wiesnhendl“ from the October Fest than some scary flying beast, I am glad that this looks much better.

They look better than they appear on the Screenshots.

From Archaeology

Both Fossilized Raptors are rare items in Fossil Archaeology and require 100 & 85 Fossil Archaeology Fragments.

Here is what wowhead says.

Fossilized Hatchling
3 sec cast
When you finished assembling this tiny skeleton through some eldritch magic, the little critter sprang back to life. He’s a pretty good pet. Since he’s a skeleton, he doesn’t eat much.

Fossilized Hatchling
Binds when picked up
Item Level 30
Use: Teaches you how to summon this companion.

The guy got away befor eI could make better screenshots of the pet. But anyway here take a look at it (click to enlarge).

Fossilized Raptor
3 sec cast
When you finished assembling this skeleton through some eldritch magic, the creature sprang back to life.

Fossilized Raptor
Binds when picked up
Mount
Requires Level 40
Requires Riding (150)
Item Level 40
Use: Teaches you how to summon this mount.  This is a very fast mount.

Archaeology has a few pretty nice rewards, pure rewards were posted on MMO-Champion a while back. There are a couple of vanity items just like the Raptor, but also Level 359 epic Items. Also archaeology gives XP, a few patches ago it was really a lot of XP and I leveled 84-85 within 2 hours just by doing Archaeology. Unfortunately the character copy queue is full, so I cannot check if it is still as amazing.
I had posted a little video of how archaeology works on beta. This way you can get an impression how it plays. Thanks for the feedback.
