The treats I give Ninja most often are dried beef skin… Many dog treats are made to appease humans, but are made from industrial thrash. Good treats should not smell like chemicals or be processed to simply look nice. Good beef head skin has parts of dried meat on it and does not look “white”. The chunks should not be too small. I like that they are very tough at the start and then become soft the longer the dog chews on it. They are perfect to clean teeth.
I like pure treats that you can still recognize. For example pig ears, chicken throats, dried lung, dried sinews and also in the supermarket I check for Ox tails, chicken wings, chicken legs (without spices of course and raw!).
