Sunset Photography skills…

A reason why I usually do not post sunset images is that I find the images difficult to edit. Like this one e.g.

When you take a picture out of a dark place, towards the sun the motive is usually very dark… Usually it is not much of an issue to fix this, but the evening sun often leaves a weird tint. When you lift the shadows, you do end up with a colorcast that looks very unnatural… as seen here…

However, I like this shot… love the light in the background and find the whole picture very moody. To me it feels like sunset and I decided to not fix the shadows. Instead, I wanted a darker look, to emphasize the beautiful light in the background and have Ninja remain a silhouette – mostly…

I have been struggling the past hour, even published another picture since I am not certain that this is “good enough” and changed my mind… Did it work? Do you like it?
