The stormy weather is over. Finally the sun broke through the clouds to cover the riverside in a spectacular evening light.
We hiked to our favorite secret spot at the river Rhine. As mentioned before, close to Mainz there were no ill effects due to the flood. The water was high, but was barely swashing over the dam and left no more than a puddle of water at the shore for the dogs to play in. The amazing sunset gifted us with golden hour light.
