Graffiti and Ninja… When we came along this road the first time I instantly wanted to make pictures with Ninja. I had no camera with me, but I definitely wanted to come back. I love the intense colors of the graffiti and wondered how different from our usual pictures this would be.
Sadly, when I returned with the camera man of the beautiful graffiti had been covered with not so pretty ones.
So this was the only picture I could make. Back then I had no clue about the typical Instagram format of 4×5 ratio so this is the best I could do.
I will upload a wide version as a story when I am done here.
Wonder if there is a cool spot for such pictures in the Black Forest or North Switzerland.
Ninja had a blast as You can see, I fired him up a little and he loved to good around.
It is about 8km from where I live and we were doing the long uphill track using bike-jöring.
This is an activity we do in winter or when it is still cold ( < 15° C, until it is T-shirt weather ) about once a week to give Ninja the opportunity to power out and get him the physical exercise he needs. . As you can see he was still full of energy 😆 after the first 8km We usually take a whole day for these kind of adventures and stop on interesting spots and just enjoy the moment. . We have the most beautiful spring weather. After last week’s frost it is definitely T-Shirt weather…
Love to take little tours around the house, just to keep isolated and avoid people.
.
You have seen how we live and it is beautiful here. We often have people visiting the area to walk their families. Weirdly enough the number of people coming by has increased since the curfew. They are coming from the city to take their walks here.
.
I find the situation so weird. People have no trouble staying at home for months in winter. It is cold and wet outside and you see no one. But as soon as they are ordered to stay at home to prevent the spread of a deadly virus, people are upset and refuse to comply, call out the restriction of basic rights 🤔⁉️
.
Well, we spend our time at home as well… I still live cooking as you may have seen and make little rounds strictly around the house with Ninja and Hadez. It is difficult to make new pictures atm, so I re-edit some older ones. I made a similar one to this a while back. It has been taken at the river Aare in Aargau. There is an island in the middle of the river and the dogs love to plunge into the water… except for Ninja who is not really a fan of water. He steps carefully and very slowly through the water.

3 years ago we met and befriended Leotie. It was a very difficult task that took many weeks to accomplish.
To be honest we were pretty much over our heads with Leotie.
She was young and active, curious… a cute little whirlwind.
.
We were looking for advice on how to make her more comfortable, how to gain her trust. German wildlife aids refused to give us any form of advice, but our friends from @redwolfsanctuaryrrc were there for us. They were the ones that made all the cute content with Leotie possible and I am very grateful for that.
.
In these times they struggle with finances and therefore I ask you to consider helping this non-profit organization and the animals they are taking care of out.

This is one of my favorite pictures.
.
When we find a nice spot on our walks I like to rest and enjoy the moment. Ninja lays directly at my side happy to get some cuddles or to have bid contact.
At times he falls asleep and looks so peaceful.
.
I truly loved this moment. He is so content, happy,… peaceful.
.
That is also what I needed the past days. Had to take a break from social media, news and statistics. Just a few days with different thought and normal every day stuff.
.

At the end of our morning pack walk we need to cross this playground to get back home.

Disclaimer:
If anyone is here, we do not go near it.
This is after a 1-3 hour hike, which means Ninja is empty.
Ninja also knows not to pee here.
This video was filmed with a cheap point to click camera and it is shaky.

Here you can see an unmotivated Ninja doing unmotivated tricks, with a „Yeah, I`ll do it quick and have my peace afterwards“-attitude.
But I am quickly able to fire Ninja up and spark his motivation. Listen closely how I use my voice to praise and to also to correct him. There is a „NEIN“ when he does something really wrong and a „No“ which is not really as negative, just a quick reminder for him that I want a different action.

But here you see 5 minute video with no treats, just attention and praise as a reward. I train these commands at home using treats or his daily food ration and in the forest I usually do not have treats with me.

So Ninja is doing this for praise and attention and it works really well.

Also note Ninja used to be deadly afraid of heigths… He was shaking in fear the first time I put him on a bench in the forest. So I was extremely proud that Ninja climbed the construction and stood on the „wheels“ at the start. I think stuff like that gives him self confidence and thus motivation.

We are at home.. but that does not mean that we cannot look back at older pictures.
I love to re-edit older pictures using techniques I have picked up over the years. In the end a photo is often just an interpretation. out can either be content and be happy with the result that your camera offers. You can also shoot RAW and take control on all these details.
I do not want to replicate a moment in an exact way. I think a snapshot would do that. What I like is to try to make you see the moment as I have experienced it.
The difference can often been seen when you go take pictures with someone else. You are at the same time, same spot, have the same subject.. but you will have totally different results.
It is one thing I love about Instagram. I love to go snooping around and look at other profiles. In each one you can see the world through this person’s eyes. You see the things that are important to them, what they care about, how they look at things. At times I find it very interesting how someone that lives at the other side of the world looks at things, how they look at live, what they do with their friends. Often I stop at accounts that have a deep bond with their dogs… It reminds me that, while we are all different and individuals we are also the same…. Do You know what I mean?

Many of Ninjas tricks come from laziness. I am too lazy to run to Ninja and to place him all the time, so he needed to learn to follow my directions.
.
„Give Paw“ is an excellent way to untangle a leash.
„Go Backwards!“ does help with tangled up leashes as well.
„Bang!“ play dead is perfect to remove ticks, treat with medicine.
.
One command I can seldom show off is the one here in the video. I just hold the harness. Ninja will slip right in, turn around into heel position and wait for the leash to be attached.
.
It is quick and works flawless 😊
.
What is your most useful/convenience command?
.
Ninja can pee and poop on command. It is a great way to remind him, of what I expect him to do when we are in a hurry.
I can make him drink something saying „water“.
Ninja can seek the leash in the forest.
.
He can also turn the light on and off at home 😆

Looking out of the window is what fortunately most of us are doing now. Meaning we spend our time inside and thus help to flatten the curve.
.
Obviously I spend a lot of time with Ninja and a lot of time working on content and Social Media.
We are still heading out, or course on short hikes close to the house, but so far the dogs seem to adjust well.
Raphaela and Frank are currently doing some bike-jöring and cani-cross, while I will head out a bit later to make some pictures of Ninja 😊
.
Aside that I have a lot of interest to look at the situation from various PoV’s to get a better understanding on the things that lie ahead.
.
There are a lot of channels Unlike to watch in YouTube… Some follow my primary interests, photography, editing…but also cooking. Somehow I watch the most delicious crusty fried potato recipe at like 01:30 at night and crave to make it right away 😆
I do have less interest in spice and vegetable garden, but I still enjoy watching those videos and I regrew some ginger and celery, leek, etc last year 😊
While I have 0 interest in lockpicking I watch every video of the ‚lockpicking lawyer‘. He is informative, patient, kind and has a soothing voice… and 1065 videos on lockpicking 😆

I watch many videos on „A Song of Ice and Fire‘, the Game of Thrones Book Series. Love the different layers of GRRM’s storytelling and after 9 years since the last book there are many theories and analysis on the material.

A few weeks back we met @nootka_sounds with their 4 Siberian Huskies. One of them is Nawa, which You can see here together with Ninja.
.
It is easy to see how well they enjoyed the time together. They were dashing around and teasing each other.
.
I can’t believe it has been so many weeks ago. Time passes so quickly 😊
Nawa got an Ultra Sound and it seems her belly is full of small baby Ninjas.
Again, I am not the breeder. I just provided Ninja and can’t help You to get puppies. Usually the puppies of these litters are reserved well before the mating takes place.
Of course you can still contact @nootka_sounds in a kind and respectful way.

Due to current circumstances we are, as so many others, wondering how things will be continuing the next months.
.
Some future collaborations are on hold and I was looking for alternatives. Someone told me to register at ‚the largest influencer platform‘, they’d be amazing. I checked them and decided to apply.
.
As every function is blocked until the account gets approved I found a real cool function for Cross-Platform cooperations from influencer to influencer. I posted a request to connect to Swiss Influencers and logged for the day.
.
The next morning I had several requests and 2 messages from the platform support that my request to join was denied.
I had seen only one other pet, I figured that they probably prefer to work with humans or strictly German speaking acxounts, which was fine.
I logged in to read the messages and saw „Your content quality is not high enough!“
I was like 🤔⁉️⁉️⁉️⁉️⁉️⁉️⁉️⁉️
.
Not high enough? I checked them out again and saw that they had like 3000 subscribers and 40ish likes per post. They were clearly unable to spark interest even within their own community.
.
Now comes the fun part, they have an article about petfluencers and Tony’s Beachparty and mention our account. They even rated us on spot 5 among the petfluencers ( it only dogs ) in Germany.
But we are not of high enough quality to join their service? 😆
.
I can’t say much about @reachhero as most of the functions were blocked. But I liked the idea of the cross-promotions. Among the many comment- and like-pods there were also a few interesting ones. My Cross-Promotion got deleted though, together with my account.
.
At first I was a bit grumpy, but then I decided to look for sponsors the old fashioned way. I enjoy a personal connection anyhow.
Still kind of amusing 😆
