Ninja is a really good dog… he is not flawless though.
Smilla, due to her Dingo heritage, can’t digest most dog foods. Instead, Hana feeds her raw deer, ducks, chicken as recall-training-reward during evening hike. We thaw her frozen meat/bones/offal outside.
After the morning hike, we give the 2 dogs dried rumen. A few minutes later Ninja was still chewing and that was odd. Slightly amused we noticed that Ninja had had stolen the whole ration and was chewing the last bit of bones. Haha.
Usually neither Smilla nor Ninja would touch food. Even when they are alone at home, they won’t steal food. Ninja must have had a strong urge to break this house rule. Not that I am mad, I actually chuckled.
She is very protective about her raw food. Ninja may occasionally steal her dried beef skin, rumen… bones… pig ears… she has become generous towards Ninja… but nevertheless I was really surprised that she let Ninja take her raw food.
